Nasir El-Rufai has moved from one investigation to another. Shortly after his engagement with the EFCC, the ICPC announced that the former governor is now in their hands for a separate set of questions regarding his 2015–2023 administration.
As of Wednesday night, El-Rufai remained at the ICPC headquarters. He had earlier submitted himself to the EFCC before this latest transfer.
The ICPC is looking into allegations of corruption and "other related offences" that occurred during his tenure in Kaduna State.
The commission emphasized that they are guided by the "rule of law" and will provide updates to the public as the investigation moves forward.
El-Rufai is a major political figure who also served as the FCT Minister years ago; however, his current focus is defending his record against these multiple agency probes.
