In a revealing speech, Senator Adams Oshiomhole opened up about the "loneliness" of losing political power.
He praised the current FCT Minister, Nyesom Wike, for being a "rare Nigerian" who looks past party lines to support friends in trouble.
Oshiomhole recalled that after his dismissal as Chairman, his house became empty. Friends and party members stayed away to avoid political trouble.
At a time when Oshiomhole felt forgotten, Wike invited him to commission a project. This gesture was a huge shock to the political world because they were in different parties.
Beyond the invitation, Wike gave Oshiomhole a prestigious award, proving that their friendship was stronger than political rivalry.
Oshiomhole humorously noted that if he walks with pride today, it’s because he knows who his real friends are—specifically those like Wike who didn't abandon him when he was out of office.
