The Adamawa State cabinet has seen a major change as Adamu Atiku Abubakar stepped down from his role as Commissioner for Works.
His resignation is widely linked to the current political drama where Governor Fintiri dumped the PDP for the ruling APC.
On Monday, March 2, Adamu sent an official letter to the Governor ending his service effective immediately.
Despite the political differences between his family and the Governor’s new party, Adamu expressed sincere thanks to Fintiri for trusting him with the state's infrastructure development.
In his final message, he prayed for God to guide the Governor and strengthen Adamawa State, noting that it was a great honor to have contributed to its growth.
Since Adamu is the son of Atiku Abubakar (a key PDP figure), his stay in a government now led by the APC would have been politically difficult, making this resignation a strategic move.
