Werder Bremen coach Daniel Thioune has received some great news as Nigerian-German defender Felix Agu resumed group training on Thursday.
His return provides the team with a much-needed defensive boost for the upcoming test against Mainz, especially after Agu's sudden injury earlier this year.
Agu was supposed to start a match against St. Pauli in February but had to pull out just minutes before kick-off because of a thigh problem.
On March 12, 2026, he was spotted back on the training pitch, showing he has successfully completed his recovery program.
With Agu back, the coach has more options for the defense, making the team stronger for their next home fixture.
Fans are still waiting for Victor Boniface to return, as he is still recovering from a major knee operation and will be out for a while longer.
