In a move to boost Nigeria’s economic growth, President Tinubu has appointed seasoned finance expert Lamido Yuguda as the new Deputy Governor of the CBN.
The President has charged the new appointee to work with total professionalism to ensure the nation's money is managed effectively.
Before he can start, the Nigerian Senate must "screen" and confirm him to make sure he is the right fit for the job.
Yuguda led the SEC for four years (2020–2024) and is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria (ICAN).
His main goal at the Central Bank will be to use his 30+ years of experience to help stabilize the Naira and grow the economy.
Known for his dedication, Yuguda is also a CFA charterholder, which is one of the highest honors a person in the investment world can achieve.
