Following a week of legal setbacks, the "conscience of the party"—the PDP BoT—has resolved to stop the internal wars and seek a peaceful solution.
Led by Senator Adolphus Wabara, the board is shifting its focus from the courtroom to the reconciliation table.
The BoT has set up a special committee to use a "window of peace" suggested by the Court of Appeal to settle disputes with aggrieved members.
The board urged all leaders to drop their "personal interests" and unite to save the party from the "stranglehold" of the ruling APC.
While they want peace, they are still reviewing the legal impact of the ruling that sacked the Kabiru Tanimu Turaki-led committee.
The BoT gave a special shout-out to Governors Bala Mohammed and Seyi Makinde for their loyalty and hard work in keeping the party together during this crisis.
