As part of the ongoing internal changes by the Inspector-General of Police (IGP) Olatunji Disu, the Nigeria Police Force has welcomed a new national spokesperson.
DCP Anthony Placid has officially taken over the office from ACP Benjamin Hundeyin following a successful handover in Abuja.
The IGP is reorganizing the police leadership to improve efficiency and strengthen public relations across the country.
DCP Placid isn't just a local officer; he has received specialized training from the United Nations and is certified in gender awareness and civilian protection.
With a Master’s degree in Law and Diplomacy, the new spokesperson is expected to bring a more professional and diplomatic approach to police-public interactions.
Placid started his journey at the Police Academy in Kano and has spent nearly 30 years climbing the ranks to reach this top position.
