A prominent member of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Ayekooto Akindele, has slammed former Governor Nasir El-Rufai, accusing him of playing games to stay out of trouble.
This comes after El-Rufai made a shocking claim that the National Security Adviser (NSA) was importing a deadly poison called thallium sulphate.
El-Rufai raised an alarm about the toxic chemical just one day before he was scheduled to appear before the EFCC to answer questions about alleged corruption.
Akindele believes the former governor is only making these claims because he is scared of being detained. He suggested El-Rufai is trying to make prison cells look "unsafe" so he won't be locked up.
Using street slang, the APC chief told El-Rufai that "nobody will kpai (kill) you," urging him to stop panicking and face the security agencies like a man.
