In a powerful display of commitment, Rev. Ezekiel Dachomo has rejected opportunities to relocate abroad following targeted threats to his life.
The cleric, who represents the Barkin Ladi region, told reporters that he prefers to face the risks in Nigeria rather than seek comfort in a foreign land.
Following reports of a bounty on his head, several international organizations offered him a safe exit to Austria and Australia, but he officially declined.
Rev. Dachomo is well-known for speaking out against the "regional turmoil" and violence affecting communities in the North-Central region.
He explained that his leadership is a "burden and a blessing," and he is prepared to lose his life if it means staying with the people he serves.
The Reverend sent a clear message to his detractors, stating that he is not afraid and that those who threaten the peace should be the ones in fear, not the victims.
